Pathways to Impact was designed to help researchers adopt an entrepreneurial mindset, and think about impact beyond the laboratory.
Learning Objectives
Workshop participants will:
- Demystify idea generation by learning to think like a designer (research, ideation, quick prototyping and testing)
- Get a boost of creative confidence
- Assess competitive landscape for their idea (all design is re-design)
- Start building an idea network
- Leave with an action plan for next steps in idea exploration
Workshop Audience:
The audience for this workshop includes but is not limited to junior faculty, postdocs, and Ph.D. students interested in developing research-based ideas that will have societal impact.
Workshop Format:
90-minute online synchronous hands-on workshop facilitated by Drs. Mary Raber (Michigan Tech University) and Ilya Avdeev (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee).
