Join us for this 2-day, virtual training covering SBIR/STTR program led by SBIR/STTR experts BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting. We’ll review the basics including program purpose; eligibility; and sources of funding. Then we’ll provide proposal prep essentials for the NIH, NSF and DOE programs. In addition to up-to-date information on the SBIR/STTR programs, we will cover:

  • NIH and NSF grant mechanisms and where to find them
  • How to find the program officers, how to approach them, what questions to ask
  • How to do research using the web tools available (eReporter, SBIR.gov, etc.)
  • Common pitfalls and how to avoid them, and much more.

Interested participants have the opportunity to apply for partially sponsored follow-on counseling via one-on-one mentoring with SBIR/STTR experts. More info here. PLEASE NOTE: This training is mandatory for those who will be submitting applications for the One-on-One Training. If selected for follow-on counseling, participants will be charged a small participation fee. All additional costs will be covered by the Center for Biotechnology.
