The Allied Genetics Conference (TAGC) aims to bring together the international community of geneticists. By uniting different groups, GSA hopes to spark new conversations, new collaborations, and new directions for the field.

Following the success of TAGC 2016—a multi-community meeting of more than 3,000 attendees from more than 40 countries—we are excited to announce that TAGC 2020 will take place April 22–26, 2020, in the Washington, DC metro area at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor. This outstanding venue offers many amenities with excellent nearby dining options for all budgets. It’s just 8 miles from Capitol Hill and the historic sights of downtown DC and is served by three different airports.

We’re designing the meeting to encourage conversations between groups, and we’re also planning ways to make it easy for each community to stay connected.

In response to the clear preference of TAGC 2016 participants surveyed (87%) for more topic-driven programming that spans community boundaries, there will be a roughly even split between community-specific sessions and community-spanning sessions.

The meeting will also offer a wide range of professional and community development initiatives, including events serving early career scientists and those with interests in policy and advocacy, publishing, education, and more.
