The government’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs make over $3 billion in high-risk, non-dilutive (i.e., free) capital available to innovative small companies annually. The process is complex, but the impact of receiving $millions in funding is worth the effort!

This Lunch & Learn will provide basic information about the two programs including eligibility and ownership requirements, how SBIR and STTR differ and selecting the right agency for your technology. Then it will focus on the Dept. of Defense’s SBIR/STTR programs with an overview of DOD components and how their programs differ, finding a topic for your project, the importance of contacting the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC), and how to influence future topics. Plus, find out about the Michigan SBIR/STTR Assistance Fund and how it can coach you through development of a competitive, compelling proposal.

Training is the second floor Board Rm., Suite 200.
